99% of the time I couldn’t tell you how I came across the blogs in my google reader, my lifeline to the wonderful society of bloggers. Perusing my giant list of posts to read (usually over 100!) gives me the same buzz of excitement as applying lipstick before going out for coffee with an old friend. You don’t know if it will involve tears or laughter, but you know it’s going to be good.
Meghan from the Daily Quirk falls into the 1% whose origin into my world I remember. I was reading reviews of Cupcakes and Cashmere’s book whilst impatiently waiting the 2 weeks for it to be delivered to the UK when I came across her.
Not only did she write the sweetest review of the book, she’d also gone as far as to interview the author Emily Schuman. From there I was addicted! Meghan writes with warmth and enthusiasm and has the kind of personality that makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever.
When she asked if she could interview me and whether I would like to become a guest blogger on the Daily Quirk I couldn’t say yes fast enough. She has been so supportive throughout our email correspondence, any nerves I had about writing for a bigger site vanished.
When the posts when up on Saturday I was surprised to find she’d written the most beautiful intro (it brought a tear to my eye), which I don’t think I could ever thank her enough for! In the words of Humphrey Bogart ‘ I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship’.
